Things that make you laugh that shouldn’t

marmite Things that make you laugh that shouldn’tWe were watching ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ last night, and yawning through the Grandfather/Granddaughter duo ‘Two Grand’ act. At the end, the old guy was asked how much he had enjoyed doing his performance. He promptly said “It’s the best thing that has happened to me since my wife died.”

Paul and I just looked at each other and cracked up laughing.

The evening got worse. From there, we found an article online about a woman who had found the image of the Virgin Mary in a mouldy grape. Our research developed until we found pictures of Christ on tortillas and toast, and a particularly great image of Our Lord on a piece of Chapatti.

Research being what it is, we were lead to ‘JesusPan.com’, a beautiful site which sells cooking implements that enable you to imprint images of Christ on your toast, grilled cheese sandwich, or any other thing which may benefit from having a spiritual lift before you ate it. I’m voting to have Jesus emblazoned on liver and onions, gherkins, and whelks because I think that’s the only thing which may improve these foods. Having said that, a plain old piece of toast with some Jesus Marmite (pictured) could set you up for the week. I’m wondering if the food has less calories in it if Christ is watching over it? Because I’ve been on a diet for three fricking days now and only lost three pounds. I need whatever help I can get.

I love humanity, we’re barking.

I’ve the perfect diet, Jen. Get yourself a job behind the bar, you run round like a loony, delivering other people’s food and you’re too tired or have no time to eat yourself! it’s fantastic for the figure.

Best bit about innapropriate gaff’s like that on telly is when the people you are with are on the same wavelength as you, just like you and Paul on that occasion. Myself and my boys do it a fair bit.

    Cheers for the laugh Jen.

    • Hi Beth!

You’re right – so much funnier when someone else is reaching the same point as you when you see that kind of thing on telly, and you can just look at each other and the giggles start!

Right. We are going to write a book. The bar job diet!
